About Our Family
Behind Phanos is a hardworking father, a loving mother, and 3 amazing children who deserve the world! Our names are Monique and Andrew🙋♂️🙋🏽♀️we are the proud parents of Mason, who is smart, helpful and so full of life, Elizabeth, a sassy little girl who knows exactly what she wants, and Matthew, the sweetest, happiest baby you’ve ever seen! We started this company with the intention to be able to stay home more with our family, but it has since grown to a longing to help those around us who need it most! After discovering our love for the Lord we have felt something pulling us to this calling. Our goal with this company is to love people the way Jesus loves us! We thank him for the great opportunity he's given us to give back with our company!
About Our Company
The inspiration for Phanos came after becoming a born-again Christian. While listening to a teaching about the virtuous Proverbs 31 women, I (Monique) started praying for the Lord to show me what I needed to do to become more virtuous. The thing that kept sticking out to me was that she worked with her hands to make and sell goods! “She seeks wool and flax, And willingly works with her hands. She perceives that her merchandise is good, And her lamp does not go out by night.” Proverbs 31:13, 18. I thought about how much I love to light a candle after i’ve cleaned my home and it gives me such a calming feeling. My husband and I started making a plan on how we can bring that light to everyone! While looking in my bible for inspiration I learned that Phanos is Greek for torch or lantern, the name was perfect! The Lord confirmed to me multiple times it was the right choice, so after a couple weeks of research we pulled the trigger and started our business! Our company will bless others by giving 10% of all profits back to our local community! We have hopes to help our local community more in the future! I want our candles to create a happy, warm experience for everyone who lights them!

About Our Product
We wanted to make a clean product that everyone would love! Our candles are made with 100% all natural coconut soy wax and phthalate free fragrance oils. You may be asking, "why does that matter?" Let me tell you! Most candles you will find in the supermarket are made with paraffin wax or soy wax blends that will contain paraffin wax. Paraffin wax is a by-product of making gasoline. It's the leftover residue from petroleum manufacturing. When burned it will produce a large amount of soot that can stain walls linens and even lead to respiratory issues such as asthma. When used over a long amount of time they can lead to poor air quality. These candles release toxic chemicals such as benzene, a known carcinogen (cancer-causing agent), toluene which is emitted from gasoline fumes, cigarettes smoke and vehicle exhaust, and so much more. Paraffin candles also contain many additives that will result in a candles that looks, smells, and burns better, but don't let this fool you! Some of these additives include polyethylene made from natural gas to produce a glossy finish, vyber which is used to raise the melting point of paraffin making it hotter when it burns then a soy candle causing it to burn faster, polysorbate 80 which helps to blend scents into the wax and that’s just the beginning. Many fragrance oils in these types of candle will contain phthalates. It is primarily used to soften plastic but is found in hundreds of products! They can cause damage to the liver, kidneys, lungs, and reproductive systems. I definitely don't want that in my house! Soy wax is made from soybeans so it burns cleaner without all the extra chemicals and additives! It burns at a lower temperature allowing it to burn slower then paraffin wax candles and reduces the risk of burns if split on the skin. It is also much easier to clean! A huge benefit for those with small kids! Our 100% all-natural coconut soy wax, phthalate free candles are the better option for you and your environment! That is the Phanos difference!

Who can find a virtuous wife? For her worth is far above rubies. The heart of her husband safely trusts her; So he will have no lack of gain. She does him good and not evil All the days of her life. She seeks wool and flax, And willingly works with her hands. She is like the merchant ships, She brings her food from afar.
